Several years ago, at the age of 78, my father passed away suddenly.  My father of blessed memory was an upbeat, positive person. He always found the good in people and sacrificed a lot for his children’s education and upbringing.
To relieve my aching heart, I started searching for things to serve as a comfort:  memoirs, pictures, diaries, recordings…. I yearned to hear his voice, to hear his clear ideas and values … I so much wanted my children to know about him, to connect with his personality, ideals and stories… but I found very little.
 
I realized that I was not alone in this experience. I decided to do something tangible so others can have the benefit of having everlasting memories of their parents and grandparents. I launched Legacies.
 
Legacies is a company that documents the heritage, history, ideas, values, memories, dreams, traditions, beliefs, hopes, living will, and ideas of a person and preserves them for all future generation through a video legacy.
 
The process is simple. Together we customize and plan the video structure. I then conduct an interview, getting to the “heart” of your parent’s life, in a sensitive manner. A “Legacy Star” (the interviewee) may also decide to include recollections of his parents and grandparents, children and grandchildren. Or if your loved one is not with us anymore, you and your siblings can memorialize his/her life through a legacy video. After editing, and adding personal memorabilia, pictures, documents, music and special effects, you & your parents are presented with a masterpiece which is recorded on DVD or VHS.
 
Your parent’s are special. They have a unique history, heritage, values, memories and dreams. Within their lives they have many accomplishments, inspiring stories, and sage advice which they’ve picked up along the way. The “Legacy” will serve as a source of pride to all future generations, allowing them to get a glimpse of their ancestors; hearing their wonderful stories, histories and dreams.
